Valentines Weekend

Being as in love as we are, of course it was to be expected that we were going to celebrate Valentines Day the whole 3 day weekend! It all started on Saturday with adventures in Garage Sale shopping. Enticed by the promise of amazing deals for a fun little furniture fix-up project for our apartment we trekked all around Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades and Marina Del Ray. It was so much fun seeing all of the different neighbourhoods and all of the beautiful houses, especially for me who has developed an addiction to the Home and Garden Network. Our efforts were at last rewarded in the purchase of two little side tables. They are as ugly as can be, so we will refrain from posting a pic till we have one of those cool before and afters.

Our Valentines continued with a delicious home-made Thai dinner made by the expert Thai chef Dave on Saturday and a Lasagna dinner and peach cobbler on Sunday made by me! To top off the celebrations a visit to Disneyland was in order...of course! =)

We always seem to get into some kind of mischief at the Happiest Place on Earth, and Monday was no exception. We noticed a high wall around the Rivers of America and just had to know what was behind it. In comes Dave's impressive height and my point and shoot camera...

Yes, we have no shame. And the results of our top notch surveillance techniques?

More info to feed our never ending quest to figure out all of the details of how Disneyland works.

We hope that you all had as wonderful a Valentines Day as we did. Wishing you a Happy Belated Valentines Day!!!

  1. We enjoyed your shared experiences concerning the Valentine's day weekend. We expected a Disneyland excursion to be included, but were surprised with the curiosity over the wall. Remember that there are items in our garage that are free to David and you from Grandpa Les and Grandma Helen for your perusal anytime. We (Grandpa and Grandma Bell)are delighted to enjoy your experiences.
