To start off the festivities, I took Dave up to Mount San Jacinto. The mountain has this really neat Areal Tram that takes you from the desert floor up to 2000 ft below the top of the second highest peak in California. It was the ideal solution. This gave Dave the opportunity to run around in the snow at the top feeling like a real mountaineer and I was happy since I didn’t have to hike up the whole mountain myself, nor did I have to buy snow tires! We rented some snowshoes and took a short hike along the valley view trail and then procured ourselves a sled and spent the rest of the afternoon climbing up and sledding down snow covered hills!

The city you can seen down in the valley behind me is Palm Springs. Pretty neat veiw!

Next up in the celebrations was a birthday party with my side of the family. Yummy food, lots of gifts, and fun decorations at my grandparents’ house. It was such a good time and everyone went out of their way to make sure Dave knows how excited they are that he is part of the family.

The yummy Fruit Tart that I made for Dave!

On to the second party, this time with Dave’s side of the family. More yummy food and even more gifts as we all gathered at his grandparents’ house. Lots of fun and of course lots of entertainment provided by Dave’s nephew Jackson!

Last but not least, the birthday revelry was topped of with some rock climbing! Dave’s parents were so kind as to take us and the rest of his family rock climbing at a local climbing gym. Everyone got to take a turn on the walls at least once and we hall had a fantastic time!

Dave’s birthday was so much fun and filled with all the things he loves most! We want to thank everyone again for making Dave’s birthday so amazing. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful and loving family!
Happy Belated Birthday Dave!! :) It looks like it was so much fun! Megan you're going to have to teach me how to make delicious fruit tarts like yours! It looks amazing!!
